Andros is the northest island of Cyclades. Andros is also the name of the main village (capital of the island) which is situated to the east coast side. The town of Andros has 1,508 inhabitants, and the island's population is about 10,00o people. There are three  municipalities, Andros (pop. 4,107), Korthio (pop. 2,547), and Ydrousa (pop. 3,355). The main villages of the island are Andros, Gavrio, Batsi, and Ormos Korthiou.
